COVID-19 Office Updates

We’ve made some adjustments to our regular office routines to ensure the safety and healthy of our patients, their families and our staff. Please see below:

Our office hours may adjust day to day, we will still be here Monday through Friday, as normal, but will likely have adjusted office hours. You can still reach us anytime by calling our main office number 214-618-6272 or messaging us through our patient portal.

We are encouraging all our patients to keep or schedule well-child visits. We believe keeping patients up-to-date on well-child visits and immunizations is key during this health crisis.

All our sick visits and chronic care visits will be conducted via telemedicine. If during the course of that telemed visit Dr. Kaplan feels and in-person visit is necessary, we will give you instructions on continuing your visit in the office and how to access our separate sick area, which is completely separate from our main clinic area. You can register on our telemedicine portal, by clicking here.

At Our Office

  • We will be taking temperatures for everyone wishing to enter our office. We ask you to call us from your car when you get here and we will meet you outside our front door and take temperatures for everyone coming in.
  • We ask that only one parent/guardian accompany each patient. We ask that siblings be left at home if possible. This will limit the number of people in our office; therefore, limiting exposure.
  • Anyone entering our office over the age of 5 years old will be required to wear a face covering (bandana, scarf, part of a costume, whatever you have will work), kids under 5 are welcome to wear one as well but we understand it will likely be difficulty for younger kiddos.
  • At check in we will be going through a COVID-19 health screening with you.
  • We will be staggering appointments to avoid multiple families waiting in our waiting room.

Please DO NOT

  • Enter our main clinic area if you or anyone accompanying you has any signs of illness, including fever, cough, congestion.
  • Enter our main clinic area if you or anyone accompanying you has traveled in the past 14 days.
  • Enter our main clinic area if you or anyone in your household has had any known exposure to COVID-19.

Protective Equipment

  • To protect our patients and staff, we will be wearing personal protective equipment which we usually avoid in a pediatric setting so the kids are less nervous; however, it is necessary currently. This may include disposable lab coats, surgical masks, and eye shields. Please let your kiddos know, we may look a little different, but we’re still the same caring staff they’ve always known.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office to discuss. If you get to our office and you are unsure where to go or what to do, call us from your car, we will be happy to come out, answer your questions and get your medical needs taken care of.

Office Hours

  • Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Our phones turn on at 7:30 a.m. Please call first thing in the morning for same day sick appointments.
